Why buy it? When she can build it!

My life’s journey has always lead to this moment. I have always been a creative soul, dibble, and dabbling here and there. Long-time hairstylist, nail tech, makeup artist, home decoration, stylish, In the medical field so on and on. My family and I purchased our first family home together in Dec 2019. Moved to Colorado in January 2020 and as a creative person, I wanted to have new drapes and new tables and chairs and a sofa for the master, and new furniture for the huge basement. Well, I soon realized that it would take plenty of money to accomplish all the new things we wanted to do with our new home. We did not have the cash for those purchases. COVID hit with one income and being resourceful I got a sewing machine and some fabric and sewed my own drapes. I needed stools I found some for $5 total and reupholstered them myself. My husband purchased my first piece of equipment which was a sander. I worked on those chairs and it hit me. I know I can build stuff let me try and build a coffee table from the reclaimed wood that was left in my backyard. My husband purchased my first miter saw. I taught myself to use it and I went to work. Well at this point I had the woodworking bug. It’s spring 2020 I needed patio furniture so I made my own. People continuously told me open a furniture shop you are great at what you do. I continued making things and posting on social media and got inspired to open my first business. The vision for Cuztom Solutions is to provide special pieces for those who are interested in custom pieces. I knew just making things for my family would not be enough. This business was created for like-minded individuals and to get some income flowing in a one-income household during this difficult time. I know if I keep learning and growing I could build this business into something great. It’s hard with 3 children to juggle working on a new small business, be a wife and be an effective parent but we all have to start somewhere and make those unwanted sacrifices so we decided to start right here with you!
